Online Motor Circuit Analysis - Emax

PMT performs online motor circuit analysis with the Emax by PdMA Corp. The Emax Motor Circuit Analyzer is the most comprehensive online motor status tester available by testing 5 of the known electrical Fault Zones within a Motor.
Fault Zones - Stator
The Stator is the heart of a motor. The Emax tests the phase-to-phase resistance, inductance, impedance, and current imbalances and properly identifies turn or phase shorts and/or faulty connections.
Power Quality
The Power Signal feeding your motor is the food that makes it run. The Power Quality test reads the voltage and current levels feeding your motor to insure no unhealthy conditions exist from imbalances, harmonics, or improper signal levels.
Rotor
A motors rotor is the muscle that convert the food (electrical signal) into mechanical force (torque and horsepower). The Emax tests the Rotor for identifcation of cracked/broken rotor bars, porosity and high resistance connections in the end rings that can decrease your motors ability to convert the electricity into mechanical power.
Power Circuit
For a Power Signal to supply a quality food source to the stator the Power Circuit must be in good condition. The Emax tests this Power Circuit for increased balanced signals indicating an increasing resistance level that will cause a unhealthy power condition
Air Gap
Bowed shafts, cocked end rings or degraded journal bearings create magnetic imbalances. These magnetic imbalances cause a "bow tie" effect which the Emax pickes up due to the rotor not being centered in the stators electrical field. This can cause increased heating in the stator windings and accelerate insulation breakdown.
Emax Analysis
PMT
can provide Online Motor Circuit Testing that will give
you the status of your motors health in these 5 Fault
Zones without ever interrupting the operation. PMT
will then provide a detailed analysis report of your
motor health with priority status and reapir
recommendations.
